HDi Dune has released new stable firmware for several of its media players, such as the Base 3.0, the Prime 3.0, the Max and the Smart. These full-HD media players are built around a Sigma Designs 8642 media processor. The Dune media players are characterized by great ease of use and extensive options. A beta release of the firmware was released a month and a half ago and a large number of changes have been made to it. For example, the user interface has been overhauled and you can now choose from various themes. We find support for cue sheets and chapters in mkv files. There is a new DVD engine with multi-angle support and preferences for menu language, sound and subtitles. Finally, several improvements have been made and bug fixes have been made to many parts of the media player. Compared to that beta, a handful of bug fixes have been made.

Changes since 110511_2007_beta:

• Bugfix: Weather application settings did not work in some cases.
• Bugfix: Specific DVD-Video discs could not be played correctly.
• Bugfix: NTSC/PAL detection could be handled wrongly during DVD-Video playback.
• Bugfix: Wrong audio channel could be chosen when switching channels during MPEG2-TS/IPTV playback.
• Bugfix: Playback of video streams from network could hang in specific rare cases.
• Some interface languages ​​updated.
• Some other improvements/fixes.
