Firmware Update: Draytek Vigor 2912 3.8.9.1

Draytek has for his Vigor 2912-routers released new firmware. These broadband routers have one Gigabit Ethernet LAN port and four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, one of which can also be used as a second Gigabit Ethernet LAN port. In addition, the router can set up sixteen VPN tunnels and there is a USB port to connect, for example, a 3G or 4G modem. Furthermore, there is the choice to take the Vigor 2912 without wireless capabilities or with 802.11n, in the form of the Vigor 2912n. The version number has landed at 3.8.9.1 and here are the changes:

New Features

  • Support IKEv2 EAP Host to LAN connection (VPN and Remote Access>>Remote Dial-in User).

Improvement

  • Improved: Support IKEv2 ECDH Group 19, 20 and 21 in VPN and Remote Access>>LAN to LAN.
  • Improved: Enhanced the security on the web server.
  • Corrected: Could not register Avaya phone [H.323] to IPPBX server through router’s NAT.
  • Corrected: Shrew VPN Client failed to create IPsec Aggressive VPN.
  • Corrected: Firewall did not work on routed LAN.
  • Corrected: Selected UDP protocol in Port Redirection. After clicking OK, the protocol UDP was invisible and became TCP in the Index page.
