Firmware Update: Draytek Vigor 2600G/Gi/Plus/i 2.5.7

A new firmware has been available for some time now for the Draytek Vigor 2600plus, 2600i, 2600G and 2600Gi. The version number has arrived at 2.5.7 and adds support for Wireless Distribution System and Wi-Fi Protected Access 2, the latter only works with hardware version 2 or later. The complete list of changes looks like this:

New features:

  • Support WPA2 function. (It’s supported in wireless hardware version 2 or above.)
  • Support WDS function.

Improvements & Corrected Problems:

  • The packets from Static Route subnets will be NATed.
  • Correct MSN Messenger hang-up problem when UPnP is enabled.
  • Correct DHCP IP conflict problem.
  • Correct NAT Loopback problem.
  • Improve Wireless interoperability with Intel Centrino platform.
  • Increase NAT sessions to 5000.
  • Correct QoS direction classify problem.
  • Correct UDP fragment packets translating problem in PPPoE connection.
  • Enhance the stability of eMule.
  • Enhance the stability of USB printer during plug and play.
