Firmware Update: Asus P4S8X 1005

RainbowSix alerts us to a new BIOS for the Asus P4S8X. This release is numbered 1005 and is from here to take down. After updating the BIOS, the motherboard will now work together with the BTC PS2 ramp and the Celeron 2.7 and 2.8GHz processors are also supported. The full changelog looks like this:

Description

  • Support new CPUs.
  • Fix system fail to write read-only CD using Plextor CDRW writer.
  • Update Promise RAID BIOS from Rev 020 to Rev 021.
  • Fix system will show certain error message once in a while when BTC PS2 office keyboard is installed
