Firmware Update: Asus A8V-E Deluxe 1009

Asus has released a new BIOS for its A8V-E Deluxe motherboard that has been given 1009 as the version number. This version adds support for new processors, but it is unfortunately not possible to find exactly which ones are meant. The list of changes since the first release of this BIOS is as follows:

Version 1009:

  • Support new CPUs.

Version 1008

  • Support Athlon64 E6 2.4G CPU

Version 1006

  • Support K8 FX55 CPU Cool & Quiet function.

Version 1005

  • Support K8 Rev. E CPU.
  • Fix the PS/2 mouse problem coming out of suspend.
  • Update VT8237 SATA RAID option ROM to V4.80.

Version 1004

  • Fixed Windows AIBooster and BIOS NOS setting bug.
  • Fixed an ASUS Update display bug.
  • Fixed system halt issue when USB floppy drive is plug in.

Version 1003

  • Improved AIBooster’s effect on system stability.
  • Fixed showing wrong speed for DIMM.
  • Fixed nVidia 6600GT card resuming from S3 issue.
  • Fixed failing to enter OS when enable cool’n’Quiet with AMD K8 939 3800+
  • Added “PWR Button
  • Fixed CORSAIR VS512 DDR400 DIMM and system hang issue.

Version 1002

  • Fixed PC Prob2 show fan speed error when using low speed FAN.
  • Add monitor +12v in PC Prob2.
  • Fixed Chassis FAN2 speed error after resume from S3.
  • Fixed can’t read Chassis FAN2 speed.
  • Fixed S3 resume time more than 5 sec.
  • Fixed PC Prob2 can’t show Power,Chipset,Chassis FAN2 item status
  • Fixed PC Prob2 showing +5V voltage error.
  • Fixed install ASUS Update V5.30.02 will show “Unable to detect ASUS BIOS” issue.
  • Fixed Press F8 can’t stop Memory Testing and enter Boot Menu.
  • Set USB Legacy default mode to ‘AUTO’.
