Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier Coming November

The battle royal game Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier will be released in November for mobile devices. That was revealed in a Square Enix livestream during the Tokyo Game Show. Also discussed are improvements made based on feedback from the closed beta.

The game will be released in November for iOS and Android. According to the producers, there are no plans to release the game for PC or consoles. The game can also be pre-ordered from October, it was revealed during the same live stream at the Tokyo Game Show.

After the game was announced in February, a closed beta took place over the summer. During the live stream at the Tokyo Game Show, the producers revealed what changes have been made based on the feedback on that beta. There would have been a lot of demand for an option to play with a controller. Controller support is therefore added to the final game. Also will there be a training mode to practice with the weapons and other attacks. In addition, the tutorial on the shovel, where a clearer distinction will be made between explanation about the controls and explanation about the gameplay. Finally, there is added a new ninja class, which focuses on stealth.

Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier takes place thirty years before the events of Final Fantasy 7. The intent is to fight against other players as a Soldier soldier, until only one remains. Players can choose their own class and fight each other with different weapons. The game will not include a story mode.

This isn’t the only Final Fantasy mobile game currently being worked on. For example, in February, along with The First Soldier, the single player game Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis was also announced, which should offer a more narrative adventure.
