An FCC inspection shows an IKEA Eneby speaker that doubles as a lamp and features a Spotify Tap button. As far as we know, this is the first bluetooth speaker with that button.

The Eneby speaker is shaped like a mushroom and also seems to be intended for outdoor use. The speaker has an IP65 rating. That means the case is dustproof and water resistant to some extent. There is a button on the housing that can serve for Spotify Tap, according to footage from the FCC. Tech site The Verge found the inspection documents.

Spotify Tap is a function of the Swedish music service for earphones and headphones, among other things. This allows users to pick up where they left off on another audio device at the touch of a button. Spotify introduced the feature a few weeks ago.

The Swedish furniture store wants to put the function on the Eneby speaker with a built-in lamp with a color temperature of 2700K and a brightness of 20 lumens. The speaker does not fall in the line of more expensive speakers that the furniture store makes with Sonos, but in the cheaper line of speakers. Models in the Eneby series currently cost between 18 and 80 euros.
