Meta comes with a new option to customize the Facebook Feed to the preferences of individual users. Periodically, a message will appear in the feed that users can indicate whether they want to see it more often or less often.

This option should pop up periodically in the feed and is only offered on posts from people and communities the user follows and posts recommended by Facebook. Choosing to see a post more or less often will temporarily increase or decrease the ranking score for that post and similar posts. According to Meta will this contribute to making it smarter and more responsive? AI system that forms the basis of the Feed.

For the time being, the interactive frequency option appears in the form of two buttons at the bottom of a post, but in the long term this should be possible by pressing the three dots in the top right of messages. So this feature will eventually become available for every post. Meta will later bring the option to Facebook Reels as well.

In addition, a test will take place in which users can adjust the number of visible posts from friends and family, groups and pages and public figures in a menu. In addition to a neutral setting, you can choose ‘show more’ or ‘show less’. According to the company, these types of customizations help users discover more content that is valuable to them.
