Extortion emails about masturbation films are fake

Spread the love

It is a good trick in itself. By making use of leaked passwords and the corresponding e-mail addresses of Internet users, scammers are frantic attempts to trick people out of money. It works like this: you receive an email stating that your password is ‘XXXX’. How do people who send the mail know that? You are hacked, they say, and according to the mail that also means that ‘they’ have taken over your camera. The result? A video showing where you are viewing a ‘nice’ site, with the image of your computer’s camera.

The threat is simple: we have you while you are masturbating and we have what you were watching. If you do not pay, we will send it to five of your friends. You will be asked for a payment in Bitcoin (of course) of $ 1400. In yet another clever twist on this previously used trick it is also reported that each mail has a unique pixel. It can see when the mail is opened and from that moment on you have only 24 hours to pay before it is too late, so-called. It gives ‘victims’ the idea that they have to, and it makes sure that the anxious people do not have the time to hear from someone with all this kind of things that it is not real.

All fake so

So if you receive such an e-mail you do not have to worry, unless the password that is in the opening is still in use. Then it is seriously time to change that in all the places where you use it. The scammers have already got that password from a very old hack and that password should actually have been changed months ago. Foei!

Unfortunately, a number of people have already fallen for the fake e-mails, as can be seen from the Bitcoin address of the scammers. Fortunately, there have not been many, but it shows that there are always people who take it for sure and yet pay, in case the people sending the mail do not lie. The simple fact is this: if someone had a compromising video of you and you would like to extort, they will show you a piece of the video. This is a faint trick, so do not kick in. Below is the complete email that people get:

The text of the mail

I’m aware that is your password. You do not know me and you’re thinking why you received this mail, right?

Well, I actually placed a malware on the porn website and guess what, you visited this web site to have fun (you know what I mean). While you were watching the video, your web browser acted as a RDP (Remote Desktop) and a keylogger which provided me with access to your screen and webcam. Right after that, my software gathered all your contacts from your Messenger, Facebook account, and email account.

What exactly did I do?

I made a split-screen video. First part was the video you were viewing (you’ve got a fine taste haha), and your webcam (Yep! It’s you doing nasty things!).

What should you do?

Well, I believe, $ 1400 is a fair price for our little secret. You’ll make the payment via Bitcoin to the below address (if you do not know this, search “how to buy bitcoin” in Google).

BTC Address: 1Dvd7Wb72JBTbAcfTrxSJCZZuf4tsT 8V72
(It is cAsE sensitive, so copy and paste it)

Important:

You have 24 hours in order to make the payment. (I have an unique pixel within this email message, and right now I know that you have read this email). If I do not get the payment, I will send your video to all your contacts including relatives, coworkers, and so forth. Nonetheless, if I do get paid, I will erase the video immidiately. If you want evidence, reply with “Yes!” And I will send your video recording to your 5 friends. This is a non-negotiable offer, so please do not waste your time and yours by email
