In March, after the Nintendo Switch has been on the market for a year, EA will look at how popular the console is to come to a decision whether the company will release more games for the Switch. For now, FIFA 18 remains the only EA game for the console.

EA released FIFA 18 for the Switch at the end of September and it’s too early to tell if the release is successful. Which says EA’s chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen told the Wall Street Journal. Before EA puts more manpower on game development for the Switch, he says the company first wants to “have a full picture of what the demand is for it.”

Anyway, the Switch seems to be selling better than Nintendo itself estimated. The company has shipped 7.63 million units of its console to date. Nintendo announced this this week. The Japanese game company expects to ship a total of 14 million in its financial year, where it previously expected 10 million copies. Nintendo delivered 13.5 million units of the Switch’s predecessor, the WiiU, in the total period in which the device was on the market.
