After the Battle of Jakku DLC map released in December, EA is now adding more free content to Star Wars Battlefront. In addition to free content, EA is also releasing the names of four paid Season Pass additions and their release dates.

From Wednesday, several parts will receive an update, including the Tatooine Survival map. The map then supports Blast, Droid Run, Drop Zone, Hero Hunt and Heroes vs Villains in multiplayer mode and is called Raider Camp. Han Solo and Luke Skywalker can dress up in new Hoth outfits. The outfits are available when either main character is played on Hoth. The outfits had already been released for players who completed the Heroes’ Holiday community mission in December.

Furthermore, players can create Private Matches, which should make playing against friends easier. There are also Daily Challenges and Community Events. These are intended to gather the community around different goals in order to earn credits together. EA will report in the near future what that will look like. In addition to the new additions and minor improvements, we also looked at the balance of the weapons in the game and the multiplayer modes. All DLC will be available January 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

More free content will be added in February, including a new Survival mission on Hoth and a new multiplayer map on Hoth for bigger game modes such as Walker Assault, Supremacy, Fighter Squadron and Turning Point. The latter mode will be available on all maps that already support Walker Assault and Supremacy at that time. A multiplayer map will be available for Endor in March.

The people who have purchased a season pass will get a lot of new maps, modes, Heroes, weapons and more in the coming months. EA has also now released names of the four paid expansion packs. In March, Outer Rim will be released around Sullust’s factories and gamers will have the opportunity to fight in Jabba the Hutt’s palace on Tatooine. In the summer the expansion Bespin, which takes place in the cloud city of the same name, will be released. Death Star will follow in the fall and an expansion is yet to be released at the beginning of 2017, but no details are known yet.
