EA will make its game subscription service available on PlayStation 4 from July. For $4 a month, customers will have access to a collection of games and trial versions of all new EA games. The service was already available for Xbox One and PC.

EA Access is closed from the PlayStation Store. That costs 4 euros per month or 25 euros for a whole year. The service works the same on the Sony console as it does on the Xbox One and is similar to EA Origin Access for PC.

Members will have access to trial versions of all new games released by EA. This concerns the full games, but they can be played for a maximum of ten hours. In addition, the service gives access to a collection of EA games, which customers can play for as long as the subscription runs. In addition to older games, the collection also includes FIFA, Battlefield and Star Wars Battlefront games.

A page from EA Access for the PlayStation 4 states that the service includes Anthem and Battlefield V. Those games are currently not available via the service on the Xbox One and with Origin Access on the PC only via the Premier subscription of 15 euros per month. Those games may also come to the Xbox One version of the subscription from July. In the announcement, EA does not mention a difference in the range of games per platform.

EA Access first appeared on the Xbox One in 2014. Two years later, the service came to Windows, in the form of Origin Access. Also available for PC is Origin Access Premier, a more expensive subscription with full access to all new EA games. EA’s subscription service does not use streaming, gamers must download and install the games on their console or PC.
