Download Driver For Auzentech X-Fi Prelude Beta 1

Auzentech’s developers have released the first beta version of their latest driver for their X-Fi Prelude sound card, adding support for DTS Interactive under Windows Vista. For downloading this driver you will, because of an earlier incident with their available drivers, you must first register with Auzentech. The very brief announcement of this release is as follows:

Dear Valued Auzentech Customers:

We wanted to inform you of forthcoming updates to the X-Fi Prelude driver. These updates concern DTS Interactive and Dolby Digital Live. Please note that they do not affect other Auzentech sound cards, nor do they apply to sound cards from other manufacturers.

DTS® Interactive
We are pleased to announce for July 1 the Beta release of the X-Fi Prelude Beta 1 driver which provides DTS® Interactive on WIndows Vista. This is a stable driver consistent with the one we recently advance-released to a select group of Beta Testers for their feedback.

Dolby® Digital Live (TTL)
Below is a list of DDL driver bug reports that we are working on.

• DDL sound stops
• DDL sound “pops or crackles”
• Mic sound problem (MSN, SKype, TeamSpeak during gamepley, Ventrilo)

The projected release date for these updates is July 9, with the understanding that bug fixes by their very nature can require additional development time.
