XorArch writes: “Finally they’re here, the drivers with smoothvision support, and various performance/stability improvements.” This concerns the drivers for WinXP. These drivers were given the term “Alternate Driver”. This is probably a different kind of name for “Beta”. If you want certainty, it is better to choose the “Recommended Driver”. The release notes:

This driver has not completed Microsoft Certification at this time.
