Apart from the storage amounts, the SSDs in the MX300 line have the same specifications as the model announced in mid-June with 750GB storage capacity. The 2.5″ SSDs are built around 3d-nand memory from parent company Micron, the controller is the 88SS1074 from Marvell and the advertised read and write speeds are 530MB/s and 510MB/s respectively. These speeds would be Crucial in-house. measured on the 1TB model.

Furthermore, there is support for hardware encryption based on AES 256 and there are techniques that should prevent data corruption and guarantee stable cooling. The SSDs with storage capacities of 275GB, 525GB, 750GB and 1TB have suggested retail prices of 76, 140, 205 and 281 euros. In the Pricewatch they are already listed for slightly lower prices. Crucial has not announced anything about the versions that will appear at the end of August with m2 2280 interface.
