Codemasters Announces DiRT 4

Codemasters has announced that DiRT 4 will be released in June for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game combines the realistic driving characteristics of DiRT Rally with the capabilities of DiRT 2 and 3.

DiRT 4 will get several game modes. In addition to the usual rallies, as in previous games in the main series, there are races with buggies and trophy trucks. Furthermore, Codemasters speaks of a Joyride mode, in which players have to perform different assignments in game worlds on three different continents.

Another new addition to the game is the Your Stage system. The system allows the player to design his own track based on a number of parameters, which can be simpler or more complicated based on the player’s skills.

It will be the first game in the main series of DiRT since 2011, when DiRT 3 was released. Since then, some spin-offs have appeared, including DiRT Rally. Unlike previous DiRT games, this game emphasized lifelike driving characteristics. These features are reflected in DiRT 4 according to Codemaster.
