Lightspeed Studios presents Code: To Jin Yong. It is an open world action game based on the martial art of the Chinese-Hong Kong writer Jin Yong. The studio, a subsidiary of Tencent Games, makes the game in Unreal Engine 5.

Code: To Jin Yong is an adaptation of author Jin Yong’s stories. He is known for his fictional stories in the Wuxia genre about Chinese warriors. Wuxia, like kung fu, is a genre in which martial arts are in the spotlight. Lightspeed Studios shows a first trailer that, according to the caption, contains ‘images from the R&D engine’, but which ‘is not representative of the final product’.

According to the makers, the game will feature iconic characters and environments known from books and TV series. Lightspeed Studios is a subsidiary of Tencent Games. The company has mainly made games for the Chinese market, but also contributed to the mobile version of Apex Legends. Code: To Jin Yong will be released worldwide, but when and on which platforms is not yet known.
