Check Point acquires cybersecurity company Perimeter 81

Cyber ​​security company Check Point has acquired the network and cloud security company Perimeter 81 for 490 million dollars, equivalent to approximately 445 million euros.

With the takeover Check Point in its own words developing enhanced security for remote access to websites, clouds, data centers and the Internet. According to the American-Israeli company, this has to do with the trend towards hybrid working. Furthermore, the company wants to use Perimiter 81 to develop a unified security solution for networks, cloud and remote users.

Perimeter 81 is also based in Israel and was founded in 2018 by the makers of SaferVPN. Like Check Point, the company uses the software-as-a-service principle for cybersecurity tools.
