Call of Duty: Warzone, the battle royale component of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, has now reached the 100 million player milestone. The game came out a little over a year ago.

On the official Call of Duty account on Twitter reports Activision that there are now more than 100 million players, with the publisher expressing his thanks. The free-to-play shooter was released in mid-March last year. A competitive game like Apex Legends reached the number of one hundred million players, but it took roughly twice as long.

Call of Duty: Warzone is still growing, although not as fast as before. After the release, there were already 15 million players within a few days, and that grew to 50 million in April, 60 million in May and 75 million in August last year.

Reaching 100 million players doesn’t mean Activision is resting on its laurels. Wednesday There must be a major event in the game before the arrival of the third season where a nuclear explosion will change the current Verdansk playing field. This will probably also put an end to the zombie problem, which has been going on for about a week now. If players go down in the green gas poisonous zones, they will currently come back as zombies.
