Apple is going to announce new AirPods Pro this month. That reports the usually well-informed Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. That would happen during Apple’s upcoming ‘Far Out’ event. It will also unveil other products there.

Gurman writes that Apple further plans to unveil the iPhone 14 series and new Apple Watch models during the presentation, which will take place next Wednesday. It would be the first time since 2019 that the AirPods Pro are being renewed. What exactly will be different or better about it, however, the Bloomberg journalist does not mention.

According to previous rumors, they would have a more compact design, without the stems that make the AirPods so recognizable. Apple would also consider to build in more functions that have to do with sports. Ming-Chi Kuo, another party with good sources on Apple matters, stated earlier this year that the AirPods Pro 2 will support lossless audio and the box will have a speaker, indicating its location. Furthermore, the case would also get usb-type-c.
