Bethesda has released another major update for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition. The game will include a new Creations system for paid mods and new options for mod makers. The game will also receive Steam Deck and ultrawide support.

Bethesda introduces in the new update a feature called Creations, as a replacement for the existing Creation Club in Skyrim Special Edition. Users who have already purchased content or Creation Credits through the previous Creation Club can continue to use them. The new version seems to mainly encourage mod makers to create paid content and make it available in-game.

Mod makers can still make Creations mods available for free independently, but can now also sign up for the Bethesda Game Studios Verified Creator program. This allows them to release paid mods for Skyrim and receive royalties for doing so. Bethesda does not mention a specific royalty percentage for mod makers. The new Creations system is available immediately.

Skyrim Special Edition will also receive an update with official support for ultrawide monitors. The game is now also officially supported on the Valve Steam Deck handheld, the company writes. Furthermore, mod makers get access to a new Creation Kit with new assets, art and scripting.
