A new partnership between EA, DICE and Nvidia brings Battlefield 2042 support for DLSS and Reflex. Whether Battlefield 2042 will also get ray tracing is still unknown. Battlefield V also supported DLSS.

The addition of DLSS allows Battlefield to run at a higher frame rate without sacrificing image quality. It should therefore be possible to play Battlefield 2042 at 4k 120fps with a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti. Nvidia Reflex is a toolkit that ensures lower latency by better matching the GPU and cpu, so that frames do not get stuck in the render queue.

The new chapter in the Battlefield series comes out on October 22 for PC and current-gen consoles, featuring up to 128-player multiplayer. Nvidia is not yet writing about whether Battlefield 2042 will also receive support for ray tracing.
