Asus comes with a new motherboard that is equipped with a passively cooled Celeron J1800. This Celeron is a dualcore from the Bay Trail-D series. Previously, Gigabyte and Biostar released passively cooled Bay Trail motherboards.

The J1800I-C from Asus is a mini-itx board that features a Celeron J1800 with two cores running at 2.41GHz, with a maximum of 2.58GHz and a TDP of 10W. The dual-core is cooled by a large gold-colored cooling block without a fan. There is also room for two sodimm-ddr3l bars with a maximum of 8GB and there are two SATA 3Gbit/s interfaces to connect storage media.

There are also a PCI-e x1 slot and a mini-pci-e x1 variant. There is only a single USB 3.0 port, but there are four USB 2.0 ports. There are also HDMI, VGA, PS/2 and a Gigabit Ethernet interface. There is also an old-fashioned com port. Asus has not yet announced the price, but the comparable boards from Biostar and Gigabyte have prices of around 60 euros. It is therefore expected that this Asus will also be sold for that price.
