ASUS has released improved versions of two ProArt Display monitors. The OLED model gets a higher peak brightness and the ProArt Display PAxxxCRV-4k-hdr models are narrower and have a smaller foot than the predecessors.
The ProArt Display OLED PA32DCM is a 31″ 4k OLED monitor that succeeds the ProArt PA32DC. ASUS says the new version can achieve a peak brightness of 700cd/m², 200cd/m² more than its predecessor. a 10% windows in hdr mode ASUS says nothing about the maximum brightness in normal use.
As with its predecessor, ASUS says that the OLED monitor must be able to display 99 percent of the DCI-P3 color spectrum. ASUS is aiming for a higher VESA DisplayHDR True Black certification, of 500 instead of the 400 of its predecessor. The PA32DCM gets an aluminum finish and includes a Thunderbolt 4 connection. The ProArt Color Center allows users to check when the monitors need to be calibrated.
ASUS further releases improved versions of the PAxxxCV monitors with the PAxxxCRV monitors. These come in 24″, 27″ and 32″ versions and are all 4k ips monitors. These are thirty percent thinner than the predecessors and have a 33 percent thinner base, so they take up less desk space, according to ASUS. comparison; the PA247CV is 52.8mm thick, the PA279CV has a thickness of 59.9mm and the PA329CV is 67.7mm thick.
The new PAxxxCRV monitors can further deliver more power via USB Power Delivery, with 96W. The predecessors could deliver a maximum of 65W. With those USB-C cables, the monitors also support DisplayPort. The monitors deliver 99 percent of the DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB color gamuts and are calibrated from the factory with a ΔE 2000 deviation of less than 2, according to ASUS.
ASUS says the new ProArt Display monitors will be available for sale in the Benelux from the first quarter of this year. Prices have not yet been announced.
