Asus Chromebook with full-HD screen and 64GB storage coming in August

A new 13.3-inch Chromebook from Asus has gone on pre-sale at several American web shops. The model has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and 64GB storage capacity. The price is $300 and the model will arrive in August.

The Chromebook with type number C301SA-DB04 contains an Intel Celeron N3160 quad-core with a clock speed of 1.6GHz, 4GB DDR3 and 64GB emmc flash storage. The Chromebook with full-HD screen is also equipped with an SD memory card reader and support for 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2. There is also an HDMI and a USB 3.0 port. The product is now available for pre-order at various web stores in the US, noted ‘Chromebook watcher’ Brent Sullivan. The suggested retail price of 300 dollars would be converted and with VAT at almost 330 euros.

There are still few Chromebooks with more than 16GB of storage memory, but that is about to change. For example, HP recently announced the Chromebook 11 G5 and the 13 G1, which will be available in 32GB configurations.

It was already known that a new 13.3-inch Chromebook from Asus with full-HD resolution would come. Versions of the C301SA with 16GB and a full-HD screen are also already available at Scandinavian webshops. the C300SA-FN005, which combines a storage capacity of 32GB with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels on a 13.3″ screen. The processor is the Celeron N3060 from Intel. It is not known whether the other models will appear here.
