Hosting provider Argeweb has been struggling with a malfunction since Thursday morning. During the day, most of the issues were resolved, but new issues arose on Friday. The hoster expects that the problems will be resolved by 3 p.m. Friday afternoon.

According to Argeweb, the outage started at 9.11 am on Thursday. Due to a malfunction in the storage environment, ‘several sites were difficult to reach’, according to the hosting provider on its status page. In the course of Thursday afternoon, Argeweb was able to get many affected websites back online, but the problems persisted in a number of clusters. At half past ten in the evening Argeweb reported that all websites were back online.

On Friday morning, the hosting provider was again hit by problems. “There seems to be a high load on the clusters and we are going to migrate websites to another cluster,” Argeweb reported in the morning. Just before noon, the news came that the impact is so great that it will take longer to solve the problems than expected. Sites on a specific cluster are still offline and are being transferred to a new server. Argeweb expects all issues to be resolved by 3 p.m.

Update 15.23: Argeweb has adjusted the status page and now reports without further explanation that the malfunction is expected to be resolved by 5 p.m.

Update 18:58: Argeweb reports that all malfunctions have been resolved.
