Apple already announced it early this year during a keynote: its own gaming service for unlimited gaming pleasure. Apple Arcade is the name. And now some more details have finally been brought out.
Apple Arcade: games at release
Apple Arcade is a game subscription that allows you an unlimited selection of games for a fixed amount per month from the App Store. Without ads or in-app purchases. It works on various Apple devices: Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Arcade has its own tab in the App Store – which we will soon see with iOS 13. The games are also exclusive to Apple. There is the classic Frogger in Toy Town. And the underwater platformer Shinsekai: Into the Depths. Finally, Apple also showed a taste of Sayonara Wild Hearts, which is a kind of playable video clip. Apple is already promising that countless new games will be added in the first few months.
September 19 Apple Arcade goes live. Apple Arcade costs $ 4.99 a month for the entire family. In our opinion, that is a good price, even if the dollar sign is replaced by a euro sign. And the first month is free! For now, we assume that it will also be launched in the Netherlands immediately.
