AMD has announced that it will hold a presentation on June 1, in which the company will announce new apus and provide updates on the Polaris GPUs. It seems from the wording that this is not a complete introduction of video cards.

In the short announcement of the event, AMD gives few details, but the company mentions the introduction of the seventh generation AMD A-series processors first and that seems to be the most important announcement on Computex. It’s not about the all-new Zen processors, but about new Bristol Ridge APUs. Its arrival was already known.

It is striking that AMD also speaks of ‘Polaris updates’. It therefore seems certain that the company will not give a full presentation about new video cards. It is not known how much new information AMD will release and when an actual introduction will follow. There is a chance that the video cards will be announced during the E3 game show. It will take place in mid-June. Last year AMD used that event to showcase the R9 300 series.

The presentation will be given at the Computex fair in Taiwan and can also be followed via a live stream. The stream will start on Wednesday, June 1, at 7 PM CET and will appear on the Computex page of the AMD website. Among others, CEO Lisa Su and Raja Koduri, the CEO of the Radeon Technologies Group, will give a presentation.
