AMD to release two Ryzen 5000G consumer APUs in August

AMD will start selling its Ryzen 7 5700G and Ryzen 5 5600G to consumers starting August 5. The apus with integrated Vega GPU cost 359 and 259 dollars respectively. AMD already announced the APUs in April, but then only for system builders.

Two of three Ryzen 5000G APUs will be available for retail sale. The Ryzen 3 5300G variant that AMD released for system builders earlier this year is not included. Also the Ryzen 5000GE variants, with lower clock speeds and a TDP of 35W instead of 65W, will not be available to consumers.

At the introduction of the Ryzen 5000G APUs in April, AMD already said that single sales would start later this year. At the Computex fair, AMD has now made it clear which models this concerns and what the prices are.

The processors are cheaper than the Ryzen 7 5800X and Ryzen 5 5600X, which have an equal number of Zen 3 cores, but no integrated GPU. However, the Ryzen 5000X processors have more cache at 32MB and also slightly higher clock speeds.
