Amazon’s Luna game streaming service is now also available on a number of Android phones, including Pixel, Samsung Galaxy and OnePlus phones. The streaming service was announced for the US in September.

The Amazon Luna product manager announced on Twitter that it is intended that more Android devices will be supported during the current early access period. It has not been disclosed which devices are involved. It is also unclear when Luna will also be released outside the United States.

As with the previously released iOS support for Luna, there is no separate app for the streaming service for Android. The service runs as a web app and requires the Chrome browser. At least Android 9 is also required for Luna on Android.

Amazon introduced Luna in September. It was only available on Fire TV, PC, Mac, and for the iPhone and iPad at the time. Windows 10 is required for the PC and at least OS X 10.13 for the Mac. Amazon also announced a Luna Controller, which connects via WiFi and then to the game servers. The service is based on several channels to which users can subscribe for a fee.

Currently, there are two channels available: the Luna Plus channel with multi-publisher games for $ 6 a month and a Ubisoft channel for $ 15 a month. Luna Plus gives access to, among others, Control, GRID and Metro Exodus. Access to the Ubisoft channel immediately makes subscribers a customer of Ubisoft + , a service that is also available on PC and Stadia. The price of six dollars a month is an early access price. Users can play on up to two devices at the same time at 1080p with 60fps. A 4k offering will follow ‘soon’.
