Several sources have published 3DMark results of an alleged AMD Radeon RX 6800XT. The websites show benchmark results at a 4k resolution. These results are compared with the RTX 3080 from Nvidia.

Several websites claim alleged 3DMark results of the upcoming RX 6800XT video card , VideoCardz writes . However, these results have not yet been confirmed and may also be affected by drivers. So take this with a grain of salt. Independent hands-on results, such as game performance, are not yet available. AMD itself previously showed the game performance of an RX 6000 video card. However, the company did not mention which Big Navi GPU was used.

Igor’s Lab , a German tech site, among others , publishes alleged 3DMark results. The website claims to rely on two “completely different” sources of board partners who “offer both AMD and Nvidia video cards.” That could be companies like ASUS, Gigabyte or MSI. Igor’s Lab shares results from the Firestrike Extreme 4K benchmark, where the RX 6800XT outperforms the RTX 3080 by about 22 percent. Converted, that would amount to a score of 13066 for the AMD GPU, where the RTX 3080 from Nvidia 10688 gets points. This does concern the combined scores, in which the CPU used also plays a role. The exact specifications of the test system are not known.

In the Time Spy Extreme 4K benchmark, the difference is smaller, according to Igor’s Lab. The RX 6800XT outperforms its Nvidia counterpart by about 3.2 percent there. In Port Royal, a ray-tracing benchmark, the RTX 3080 outperforms the alleged RX 6800XT by 22 percent. The Radeon GPU seems to perform slightly better with ray tracing than the RTX 2080 Ti.

Wccftech also claims to own 3DMark results from the RX 6800XT. Wccftech more frequently publishes information about unannounced hardware, but its accuracy is hit and miss. The results of this website are consistent with those of Igor’s Lab; Wccftech also claims the RX 6800XT would perform up to 22 percent better in Firestrike Ultra 4K. In TimeSpy the difference seems smaller again and in ray tracing benchmarks the RTX 3080 seems to outperform AMD’s upcoming video card.

Twitter user KittyYYuko also has benchmark results from a Navi 21 XT GPU. That chip is rumored to be used in the RX 6800XT. However, the Twitter user states that the GPU in question has 80 compute units . This is inconsistent with previous rumors, which state that the chip has 72 Cu’s. The results published by KittyYYuko are reasonably consistent with those of Igor’s Lab and Wccftech, Videocardz writes.

AMD will unveil its upcoming video cards on Wednesday October 28 during a live stream. According to rumors, the company will introduce an RX 6900XT, RX 6800XT and RX 6800. According to rumors, the RX 6800 video cards from AMD will receive 16GB of gddr6 memory. The RTX 3080 has 10GB of faster gddr6x memory.
