Microsoft has announced a new expansion for the game Age of Empires II HD. The expansion pack brings new civilizations, campaigns and units. Microsoft has released a screenshot showing new units.
Microsoft Studios is working with the team behind Forgotten Empires on the expansion. Forgotten Empires is the mod on which the final release of Age of Empires II HD was based. In addition to new civilizations, campaigns and units, the upcoming pack will bring new game modes and other functionality, a Microsoft Studios employee reports on the Age of Empires blog.
Details about the package are not yet available, but it should be released this year. In addition, Microsoft has already shown a screenshot showing camel riders with bows, which makes it seem that at least the Persians or Saracens can expect a new unit.
