Acer unveils 2cm thick Predator Triton 500 SE with RTX 3080 Ti and 16:10 screen

Acer has upgraded its line of gaming laptops with new hardware and a revised design. There will be a special edition of the Predator Triton 500, with an Intel Core i9 of the Alder Lake generation and a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti.

The Predator Triton 500 SE is a 16″ laptop with a somewhat sober design that, according to Acer, would not be out of place in the workplace. In addition to the Core i9 from Intel’s twelfth generation and the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, the laptop has 32GB Lpddr5 and up to 2TB. storage of PCIe 4.0 SSDs. The laptop measures 2 centimeters at its thickest point. Two AeroBlade Gen5 fans and four heat pipes are provided to keep the interior cool. The 16″ screen has an aspect ratio of 16:10, resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, a refresh rate of 240Hz and a maximum screen brightness of 500cd/m².

There will be a 15.6″ and a 17.3″ version of the Helios 300. Acer supplies these with Alder Lake-generation Core i7s and a GeForce 3080 for laptops, so not the new 3080 Ti variant, or a mobile RTX 3070 Ti. Both the 15.6″ and 17.3″ screens have a refresh rate of up to 165Hz and a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels.

The Nitro 5 also appears in 15.6″ and 17.3″ variants, and the manufacturer also offers configurations with AMD Ryzen 6000 processors, in addition to variants with Intel Alder Lake chips. In all cases, the video card is the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. The laptops will be available in the coming months.
