Acer announces Chromebase 24 and Chromebook 11
Acer will soon release an all-in-one Chromebase. The Chromebase 24 is an all-in-one with an Intel processor and a 23.8″ IPS screen with 1920×1080 pixels that can rotate between 5 and 30 degrees. The company also comes with a new Chromebook 11.
The all-in-one comes with vesa mounting points and 8GB ddr3l-ram. There is also a version available with a touchscreen that can read ten fingers at the same time. For external connections, the device has an 802.11ac wireless option or a gigabit Ethernet port.
Conversely, the device can record ambient sound via four microphones and image via a webcam that can be slightly rotated. Other specifications have not yet been announced, as they will vary by region according to the message on Acer’s site. Prices are not yet known.
Acer Chromebase 24
In addition to the Chromebase 24, the company announced the arrival of a new 11.6″ Chromebook in the Chromebook 11 line: the CB3-131. The Chromebook is aimed at situations where hardware is not handled very carefully, such as at school. For example, the device could withstand 60kg of downward force on the cover and a fall from a height of 60cm should not cause any damage.
The CB3-131 weighs 1.1 kilograms and is 18.6 mm thick with a matte 11.6 “screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The gem can also be supplied with 2 or 4 GB of ram and with 16 or 32 GB emmc storage memory. The battery should last up to nine hours. The device has bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0, an SD card reader and HDMI. The CB3-131 Chromebooks should be available from February in Europe and the Middle East for prices from 329 euros.
